When to clean in Darwin

The mistake to avoid locally

Treating red soil staining as a pressure problem. Water lightens it, but soaked-in iron staining needs a rust or oxalic-acid treatment first, then a rinse.

The general rule holds everywhere: concentrated jet at 10–20cm for concrete, pavers, joints, wheels and bins; wide fan head at 30cm or more for render, timber, glass, sealed stone and vehicle paint. Pre-wet the surface, wait two minutes, then work in overlapping passes and finish with a full rinse so the loosened grime leaves with the water.
